Welcome to the new updated website of the Stockton Heath & Appleton Golf Society widely known as the S.H.A.G.S. Formed over 30 years ago and based in Warrington, the society has grown over the years and is still going strong with over 40 members in 2004. On this site you will find much information about the history and past of the society, the results, officers, fixtures and any other information we could bring together, if any member can add or amend this information then we would be very grateful. We have 10 fixtures each year, February to November and hopefully everyone has a great day out at them. We pride ourselves on being a friendly society and welcome new members who were are sure will find that the phrase 'Good golf, good food and good friendship' just about sums up the S.H.A.G.S

Bramall Park

The weather was much kinder to us on this visit to Bramall Park, the course was in excellent condition and we had a great day.
Numbers attending were on the low side again and all members need to think of what we intend to do as a society next year.There will be a discussion at Chorley next month or you can send me any thoughts or suggestions by email.
Dont forget Chorley is President's Day so please try to support Eric ( he needs support at his age ! ) and dont forget to bring a prize !

Dean Wood - Captain's Day

Everyone who turned up at Dean Wood to support Des on his Captain's Day had a great day - course in great condition, good weather and food and a fantastic evenings entertainment by our Captain !
Eric has a lot to live up to on Presidents day which is now at Chorley in September.

Shaw Hill

No rain ! Slightly different weather from last year but nothing to do with our Captain who was still blowing his vouvouzela somewhere in South Africa.
Dont forget next month at Dean Wood is Captains Day so we would appreciate if everyone brought a small prize so everyone goes home with something.
Presidents day will not be at Bramall Park in August it will now be at Chorley in September.
